Not only in Hagen a high-class dressage tournament takes place at the weekend. In Opglabbeek, Belgium, dressage is also taking place at the highest level.

Many of you will now certainly think: "Wait a minute, Opglabbeek... I know that normally only in relation to international show jumping?". There you are also gold right. Until now, you knew the Sentower Park, as it is known among connoisseurs, only from the jumping sport.

Now the organizers have tried themselves also at a dressage tournament.

That succeeded also with success.

Of course, in Opglabbeek were not many of the international top pairs on the road, because they are at the moment on the international tournament of the Kasselmann family in Hagen a.T.W..

But Edward Gal and Hans-Peter Minderhoud did not miss the opportunity to compete in the neighboring country of their home country. Here the two had their possible Olympic aspirants with them.

It was actually no surprise when one looked at the results list of the Grand Prix and read the name of a pair at the top: Edward Gal and Total US.

The two could already prove several times that they are a great team together. Thus they succeeded also already the victory in a Grand Prix with over 80%. Also in the Grand Prix in Opglabbeek they could almost crack the eighty mark. 78.674% was the final score for the two after a great round. The only nine-year-old Totilas x Sir Donnerhall son could show himself safe in all lessons and impressed with a great expression.

He was followed in second place by his one-year older brother, Toto Jr. Both stallions are owned by Glock's Horse Performance, which is owned by weapons manufacturer Gaston Glock and his wife Kathrin. Toto Jr, also a Totilas offspring out of a Desperados FRH dam, also showed a great round but had to admit defeat to his younger brother.

Thus, Edward Gal was also able to put a thick exclamation mark with his two stallions in view of Tokyo. It seems as if he then has the agony of choice, which of the two he will then take at the end.

Gal's long-time companion, Hans-Peter Minderhoud (NED) placed third with GLOCK's Dream Boy N.O.P..

But Total US and Toto jr. were not the only two Totilas offspring competing in this Grand Prix. Adelinde Cornelissen also placed fourth with Governor-Str, also a son of Totilas out of a Jazz dam. Then another Totilas son, Go Legend, took 6th place with Marlies van Baalen. He is out of a Ferro dam.
